News | KLDSA's Deputy President Appointed As The New MYDF Assistant Sports Director
Johor Bahru | The Malaysia DanceSport Federation (MYDF) just concluded their 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 26th of May 2019 in Pekin Sutera Restaurant Sdn Bhd in Skudai, Johor Bahru. Among the many agendas that were being discussed, KLDSA's deputy president Mr. Chua Zjen Fong were newly appointed as the new MYDF Assistant Sports Director to assist the Sports Director Mr John Chong to carry out duties such as developing the overall DanceSport standard in Malaysia.
Mr Chua has recently helped MYDF to obtain the recognition and approval from the Ministry of Education (MOE) to support the School DanceSport Program in every school in Malaysia. With this recognition, all MYDF's state associations and members are able to enjoy the privilege of obtaining school curricular points from both National and International Championships.
The new Assistant Sports Director also gave a brief explanation on the procedures for applying permission as well as submitting relevant documents and reports that were required by the Ministry in order to obtain these points.
MOE have given their guidelines on costumes for the solo and all girls athletes where it should be appropriate and decent. The WDSF Dress Regulations only cover the couple events, with MOE's new initiative, MYDF will be enforcing a new dress regulations on Juvenile Solo & All Girls events effectively from the August 17th Competition in Kota Kinabalu.
Being the youngest board member of the MYDF, Mr Chua is dedicated to generate ideas and improvements to the dancing standard in MYDF.
