Welcome to KLDSA!

As the governing body of Dancesport in Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur Dancesport Association (KLDSA) takes pride in spearheading the sustained and continuous development of the sport in accordance with the long-standing vision of achieving consistent triumphs on the world stage.

Kuala Lumpur Dancesport Association (KLDSA) is a full member of Malaysia Dancesport Federation (MYDF) that is the National Sports Association (NSA) governing all aspects of both Amateur and Professional DanceSport nationwide, either through its Office Bearers, Member bodies and Members or by administrative agreements with other persons and organizations. 

 

KLDSA is established independently and registered with the Sports Commission of Malaysia and is officially endorsed and supported by the Ministry of Youth & Sports of Malaysia, Malaysia National Sports Council, Malaysia National Institute of Sports. 

 

On 4th August 2011 the organization was at first registered at the Malaysia Sports Commissioner Office.

KLDSA is a full member of MYDF which is affiliated and supported by the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), Dancesport Asia (DSA) that are respective members of International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), International Professional DanceSport Council (IPDSC) and Asian Professional Dancesport Council (APDC).

 

KLDSA is formed to encourage and support DanceSport activities in close cooperation and consultation with the above International Federation (IF) and Asian Federation (AF) as stipulated by Malaysia Sports Development Act (1997) and to advance the objectives of KLDSA and these organizations in the interest of DanceSport and its following.

  • Dancesport will be a vibrant and popular sport in Malaysia among the younger generation that contributes towards nation building and social development by reaching out to all Malaysians in its pursuit of glory for the country.

  • To have a big pool of world class athletes

  • To lift the standard of dancesport athletes to that of China and European 

  • To have a first Malaysian Formation team

  • To ensure consistent success in the international arena

  • To develop a big pool of qualified international coaches and technical officials

  • To implement development programmes from grassroots to national level

  • To own fully integrated training centres at state level

  • To make Dancesport 'the sport' of our next younger generation

Mission

Objective

To encourage, promote and govern Dancesport Championships in Kuala Lumpur

To manage and govern competitions organised in Kuala Lumpur by any approved body on behalf of MYDF, DSA & WDSF

To ensure observance of rules and regulations in both national or international competitions organised in Kuala Lumpur

To settle or adjudicate

all disputes of affiliates

To formulate, implement and enforce

such Rules, Standing Orders, Bye-Laws and Regulations made under the KLDSA  Constitution
